BASKET WEAVE STITCH

                        Hello everyone, welcome back to my post. In this we are going to learn how to crochet basket weave stitches. Basket weave stitches is very easy and fun to make it was crochet by using front and back post double crochet and chain.

MATERIALS:

  • 4mm hook
  • simple DK yarn as per your use of color 
  • scissors
  • yarn needles

ABBREVATION:

  • BPDC - back post double crochet
  • FPDC - front post double crochet
  • CH - chain
  • DC - double crochet
  • RPT - repeat 
  • ST - stitchs
  • SK - skip/ miss

INSTRUCTION:

  • Split knot and ch38 (multiple 10*8)
  • SK 3CH from hook
ROW 1:
  •  1DC in 4th CH and in next 4STs. *CH 1, SK 1 CH, DC in next 4 STs.* RPT all over.
  •  1DC in last CH. CH3 turn work.
ROW 2: 
  • *1FPDC in next 4STs. CH1. 1BPDC in next 4STs*RPT across 
  •   1DC in last CH. CH3 turn work
ROW 3:
  • *1BPDC in next 4STs. CH1. 1FPDC in next 4STs*RPT across. 
  • 1DC in last CH. CH3 turn work 
ROW 4: 
  • *1BPDC in next 4STs. CH1. 1FPDC in next 4STs*RPT across. 
  • 1DC in last CH. CH3 turn work
ROW 5:  From this row start 
  • *1FPDC in next 4STs. CH1. 1BPDC in next 4STs* RPT across. 
  • 1DC in last CH. CH3 turn work
ROW 6: 
  • *1BPDC in next 4 STs. CH1. 1FPDC in next 4STs*
  •  1 DC in last CH. CH3 turn work
ROW 7+: RPT row 4 -6 as long as your project
